Designed for fine wet grinding of samples of various ores and materials. REC Mekhanobr Tekhnika manufactures and supplies the laboratory ball mills with drum capacity of 1-50 liters.   The laboratory ball mills with steel lining are the conventional machines for solid materials disintegration.

To select the right type of equipment, it is essential to first determine the suitable milling mode - dry or wet - and choose the working mode - periodical or continuous.

Letter “К" in  the marking means  “console", letter “N"  means continuous operation mode.

The optimal operation mode is selected empirically. 

The drum is filled with the ground material and  balls. When it is rotating, the material is ground due to  shredding, shearing and impact effect of the balls. Upon the grinding process completion, the product is discharged together with the  balls into the  tray where they are  to be separated then.

Depending on  the processed material  properties and amount, the ball fill is selected (ball diameter  and  quantity) and  the time of grinding is chosen. The ball quantity to  be supplied is to be individually determined by the Customer. 

The laboratory mills can be completed with the operating console with  the power-frequency current to change the drum speed. This provides not  only for grinding the samples of various ores and  nonferrous materials (minerals, oresm alloys, chemicals, glass, ceramics, plant parts, soils, waste water sediments,  etc.), but also   studying the materials grindability,  including  according to the Bond method.
