Purpose:
The concentrating table is designed for minerals separation in water medium by specific weights, with the grain-size from 0.04 to 3 mm. It is used for laboratory research in concentration of various materials.
The concentrating table is a rectangular deck 1,000х400 mm connected to the drive mechanism. The drive transmits reciprocating motion to the deck. Due to specific kinematics of the drive, the working table motion is non-uniform. The motion slows down in the forward direction (towards the discharge side) and accelerates towards the loading side.
The table surface is riffled. The riffle height is from 0.1 to 5 mm. The wash water and pulp are supplied to special chute attached to the deck. The material separation on the table is determined by specific weight of material particles, as well as the force of the water flowing down the table slope and the force caused by the deck motion and made in perpendicular to the water motion. The material fans out over the table and can be separated by any amount of products. The separated product is collected in the collectors.
The table operation mode is determined by experiment depending on the feed properties and final product requirements. For concentrating table efficient operation, it is necessary to select the fragmentation mode of the layer of particles by their weighing with the water flow and reciprocating motion of the deck.
The process indicators depend on:
- amplitude and number of oscillations of the deck;
- solid content in the feed;
- wash water consumption and feed.
The needed mode is set by changing the following deck parameters:
- lateral tilt;
- longitudinal tilt;
- stroke length;
- stroke rate (using the frequency converter).
