Laboratory flotation machines
Designed for minerals laboratory testing for concentration by foam flotation with the pulp acid base environment of pH 2-12. The capacities of flotation machine chambers vary from 50 ml to 12 l.
Characteristics:
The machines provide high-precision modeling of the industrial flotation process. The flotation machine is completed with thyristor frequency converter (TFC).
Flotation machine design:
The main operating parts of the machine are the impeller unit, chamber and foam remover with vanes.
The impeller unit and foam remover are mounted on the housing with the impeller motor, foam remover drive, and electrical elements inside. The upper part of the housing is closed with the cover with the impeller drive under it. The chamber is mounted on the housing with the guide unit and secured by the turntable.
Operating principle:
The flotation machine is an intermittent device. The material to be separated is loaded into the chamber in the form of the pulp. While the impeller is rotating, the intense pulp mixing and foam formation occur due to air inflow. The supplied air amount is controlled by the flow meter valve.
The float foam is removed from the chamber with the foam remover vane. Spitzkasten (front pocket) with the opening that is arranged in the chamber allows for flowing the particles accidentally brought into the foam back to the lower part of chamber that improves the flotation quality.
Depending on the processed material properties and amount, the main controllable parameters are selected:
- chamber capacity (installation of the chamber with the required capacity);
- impeller frequency (change of impeller motor frequency supply);
- amount of the air supplied for flotation.
The flotation machines are manufactured according to TU 3132-040-11114244-2010.
