Purpose
The industrial jaw crushers of small typical sizes are designed for dry disintegration (mechanical breaking) of medium- and low-hard solid, brittle raw materials (ferrous and nonferrous raw materials, construction materials, solid waste and etc.).
The jaw crushers are characterized by simple design and reliable operation placing them among the most common kinds of crushing equipment
Main fields of application
Crushing of black ores, nonferrous metals, slags, ferroalloys, as well as using in non-ore mining industry (crushed stone and construction materials production), chemical and other industries.
Principle of operation
Solid material breaking in the jaw crushers occurs mainly due to the compressive forces generated between the mobile and immovable jaw of the crusher. There are two main kinds of the jaw crushers - with simple and with complex motion of the jaw that are usually marked as JC and JCS. In the crushers with simple motion of the jaw, the latter makes the oscillating and reciprocating movement, the material to be crushed flows through the crushing chamber by gravity and discharges through the discharge aperture with the controllable aperture. In the crushers with complex motion of the jaw, the latter simultaneously makes the reciprocating and elliptical movement. Due to this, the compressive and partially shear forces are applied to the crushed material, and the material movement in the crushing chamber is also improved that have positive effect on the crusher performance. During crushing in the JCS jaw crusher , due to the pulverizing effect, some more fine material is formed than in the JC crushers that is to be taken into account during brittle material processing.
