Professor M.L. Kachanov is a Chief Editor of the International Journal of Engineering Science included into the first quartile with the impact factor of 7.02, Hirsch index of M.L. Kachanov – 41, and citation index – over 6700; has a vast experience in R&D on the orders of he leading world companies – Shell, General Electric, Caterpillar, etc, the world-class specialist in materials micromechanics. Mark Lazarevich shared his experience in achieving such high research chops and gave some invaluable advices to the scientists being present.
The lecture was targeted at young scientists and post-graduates engaged in research under the Grants of the Russian Science Foundation, Ministry of Education and Science, etc., where the publication of articles in the indexed journals becomes an important component of reports, but it was interesting for everyone as M.L. Kachanov told about motivation of the authors, proper presentation of materials for publication in order to capture the interest of the readers and stimulate this interest, and then make citation.
More than 70 people were very interested in the lecture, among them were not only the young scientists of REC Mekhanobr Tekhnika and Mining University, but also the higher-education teaching personnel.
