      The main scientific problem considered in this project is the establishment of laws, description and forecast of multiple new physical phenomena and effects of behavior of various systems and environments demonstrating their nonordinary response to vibration impacts, including in the combined force fields.

      The problem relevance is determined by actual multiple new, not completely studied physical phenomena and effects arising from the behavior of various systems and environments in case of vibration impacts, especially, with the availability of additional force fields. Creation of general theory of such phenomena and effects will make it possible to formulate main principles and procedures for creation of energy- and resource-saving mechatronic process complexes for further industrial implementation in the advanced intelligent productions.

      A new class of vibration technologies will be designed for processing of the very different materials, first of all, structural nanomaterials that are distinguished by their feed size and shape - the large-piece mass with the components of up to 300 mm, powder mixes and compositions with max particle size from 5 to 10 mm and min from 10 to 100 µm.

      The process flows of the specified materials can be different and widely vary: in some cases, these are kilo per hour, and in other cases, new units with time performance to hundreds tons per hour.

      In the frameworks of the general problem, this project sets forth the following tasks:

      • research and development of vibration dynamic systems with energetically optimal type of excitation of oscillations ensuring the selective, pre-set mode of oscillations based on the process understanding and form of impact on the treated material;
      • analytical description and numerical simulation of loose media in the combined force fields where the vibration impacts are dominating that allows for developing at the next stage the general approach to creation of mechtronic devices of high performance and low energy capacity for mechanical classification of loose (powder) materials by size, form, as well as electrical and magnetic properties, in the conditions of highly intensive vibration impact;
      • study and description of behavior during vibration impacts of liquid media and structured suspensions of disperse materials to create the technologies and mechatronic devices of vibration type for vibroaeration, mixing, sedimentation, clarification that will also provide for energy efficiency and noticeable reduced consumption in many fresh water technologies due to processing of more dense suspensions.

      In general, the project is devoted to the use of vibrations in technologies, identification and use of multiple opportunities that are ensured by brand new phenomena and effects of behavior of materials in these conditions: these are energy- and resource-saving, improved quality of the finished products on the main consumer parameters, reliable controllability providing for creation of mechatronic complexes integrated into the advanced intelligent productions in many industries and, consequently, economy of the Russian Federation.

      The mentioned scientific problem and its practical use are very interesting topics for many Russian and world university research centers, as well as laboratories of the known companies producing similar equipment that is relevant for the current technological wave.

      The researches are conducted not only by 3-4 scientific teams of the Russian Federation, but in the university centers abroad: Technical University of Copenhagen, Denmark; Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands; Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany; Technical University of Munich, Germany, etc. The prototypes of the machinery that correspond to the preliminary technological wave, without mechatronic control are produced by 5-6 leading companies of the world, particularly, SIEBTECHNIK GMBH, RHEWUM GMBH, METSO MINERALS, SANDVIK, TELSMITH, HAVER&BOECKER GMBH.

      However, the leading position of the organization that has prepared and submits an application, the Research and Engineering Corporation “Mekhanobr-Tekhnika”, is confirmed by stable products export that is relevant to the current technological wave to 25 countries, includig the high-tech ones. The characteristic feature of REC Mekhanobr-Tekhnika and its Laboratory of Vibration Technologies where the project will be conducted consists in the functioning full innovative cycle - from fundamental research and receipt of new scientific knowledge to the development of the advanced intelligent technologies on this basis and further transition to pilot and design works, commencement of industrial production of new machines and units, their supply to consumers, process adjustment and staff training, provision of the entire life cycle of the goods with spare parts.

      The number of plants, machines, packaged process lines developed by REC Mekhanobr-Tekhnika at new and reconstructed mining, chemical and pharmaceutical companies, construction, machine-building, and other industries is more than ten thousands units; and these are the technologies for disintegration, separation and other processing of materials of various origin, including artificial, that realize the targeted vibration impacts.

      The offered researches being fundamental by their essence are of the same time of the expressed applied nature that will promote for quick transition to the R&D stage using the other sources of finance (beyond this project).

      It is supposed that some part of new products in the form of energy- and resource-saving mechatronic complexes for industrial implementation of new technologies in the advanced intelligent productions will be completely prepared and offered in the market by completion of this project, i.e. by the end of year 4. First of all, these will be the technologies and devices that are based on the research results obtained for the first two years of the project.

      Upon project completion, the industrial output of the full complex of new products will be set during 2 next years based on the general research cycle results. In addition, the process lines for preparation of powder materials of various size and composition will be completed in full for a wide-scale development and application of the additive technologies.

      Considering the positive experience of REC Mekhanobr-Tekhnika in export supplies of high tech products on own developments, it is planned that all newly developed technologies and complexes under this project will be also export-oriented.

      For the period of the project implementation, at least 40 articles will be published in editions indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, the schools of young scientists will be held every year, the study programs will by partially corrected in some institutes, the large-scale lecture courses will be read that makes it possible to obtain new scientific knowledge with ts further commercialization in the Russian economy, use it also for training of the innovation-oriented scientific and engineering staff, including in own facilities of the existing Science Educational Center.
