On November 6, the St. Petersburg Vice-Governor, Vladimir Nikolaevich Knyagin, visited REC Mekhanobr Tekhnika; he is in charge of science and education in the Government of the city.
RAS Academician Leonid Vaisberg together with young scientists of the Research and Engineering Corporation presented the advanced technologies and latest developments in the sphere of competence of our Company to the guest and told about researches in new prospective fields:
- creation of waterless and low-water concentration technologies of solid minerals;
- preparation of metal powders for additive technologies, including the recycling of prompt industrial scrap of high and nonferrous alloys with the production of powders; quality improvement of the spheroidized metal powders by removing the off-grade particles;
- works for agricultural complex - removal of abortive seeds from seed material;
- solid waste processing, including the domestic waste.
The Vice-Governor has familiarized himself with the origination of innovations - from fundamental scientific research to their implementation in the industry; Mekhanobr Tekhnika is such full-cycle innovative enterprise.
V.N. Knyagin, in his turn, told us about the up-to-date state of the national project “Nauka” (Science), new dynamically developing fields of science in St. Petersburg (artificial intelligence, “big” data processing, gene engineering, radiology), as well as their prospective development in the country in general.
The Vice-Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Science and Higher School, Irina Yurievna Ganus, who also took part in the discussion.
