A batch of laboratory flotation machines has been sent to one of the largest mining and metallurgical plants in Uzbekistan recently.
Six laboratory flotation machines with various chamber volumes, the FML 0,3, FML 1 and FML 3 models in particular, were supplied to the customer. These flotation machines are designed for enrichment analysis by froth flotation method.
Laboratory flotation machines are periodically operating devices, which provide modelling of industrial flotation process with high accuracy. Their working principle is rather simple. The finely ground ore sample is mixed with water and chemical agents to create a hydrophobic effect on the minerals’ surface. The pulp is then subjected to the air flow, which causes hydrophobic minerals to rise with air bubbles and form a froth on the surface. The froth is collected and removed, and the residues are disposed of as tailings.
REC «Mekhanobr-Tekhnika» offers to supply laboratory flotation machines with various chamber volumes ranging from 50 ml to 12 litres, as well as their spare parts, such as replaceable chambers and impeller units.
