On October 7-8, 2019, the next session of the School of Young Scientists under guidance of Academician L.A. Vaisberg was held at REC Mekhanobr Tekhnika
For two days, the participants have got unique opportunity to listen to the prominent scientists and specialists.
Three lectures were devoted to the energy; this cycle consisted of the summary report of Academician A.V. Klimenko - “Energy - yesterday, today, tomorrow”, as well as the reports of professors O.M. Prishchepa and A.A. Zakhidov who highlighted the critical issues of the conventional raw hydrocarbons - «Hydrocarbon revolutions and war of the late 20th - early 21st century” (O.M. Prishchepa), concerning prospective development of solar energy - ”Hybrid perovskite materials - revolution of the energy conversion technology” (A.A. Zakhidov).
Two lectures were devoted to the relevant issues of the modern mechanics: Academician I. G. Goryacheva made a report - “Control of friction in movable couplings”, Professor A.B. Freydin - “Configuration forces in the mechanics of phase and chemical transformations”.
Then, three lectures demonstrated the interdisciplinary aspect of the School of Young Scientists.
The up-to-date problems of microbiology were disclosed in the lecture by Academician I.A. Tikhonovich and Candidate of Biological Sciences V.A. Zhukov - “Complementary principle during expansion of adaptations of microbial and plant systems”.
Professor A.V. Garabadzhiu, the Pro-rector for Research of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Technology, spoke with the lecture which title is self-explanatory - ” “How are the modern medicines created?”
The meeting of the Schools was added by the very interesting, as always, speech of Professor T.V. Chernigovkaya who presented the original material in the lecture: “Language, conscious and brain: View from the 21st century”.
This lecture of Tatyana Vladimirovna can be listened to only as recorded by us.
There were primarily the post graduates and postdocs from the St. Petersburg State University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg Mining University and other higher educational institutions of our city, as well as scientific organizations.
The audience changed periodically. Everyone could listen to what he/she was interested in, and some listened all the lectures.
Totally, more than 100 persons took part in the work of the School.
In spring 2020, we will be glad to invite all to the next, IV session of the School of Young Scientists.
To conclude, we would once again list the lectures of the III session of the School of Young Scientists with the links to their video records:
